Group Offerings
Group work can be a profoundly meaningful means of healing and connection, and is a wonderful complement to individual therapy. I offer several facilitated support groups throughout the week. All groups run on a continuous “closed” basis, meaning enrollment opens approximately every other month. Participants often enroll on a recurring basis, and find their experiences deepen with the length of their participation and depth of their connection to other participants.

This group is for individuals navigating the aftermath of a sudden or unexpected loss. While traditional grief groups offer valuable connection, they can feel insufficient to hold the profound destabilization and pain that follows a traumatic death.
When a loss is abrupt, the experience can feel fundamentally different, requiring a more specialized level of support. Sessions focus on the unique and often overwhelming aspects of traumatic grief, including:
The Weight of the Unspoken: Navigating feelings of intense guilt, persistent questions, or "what ifs" that feel impossible to resolve.
The Internal Impact: Managing intrusive memories, anxiety, and the sense of being "flooded" by a pain that feels as though it may never shift.
A Changed Identity: Exploring the reality of living in a world where you—and your sense of self—feel forever changed.
In this safe community, participants share their stories and process the daily complexities of a life turned upside down. Participants will learn new coping mechanisms, foster hope for healing, and connect with a community that truly understands the magnitude of your experience.
Living Beyond the Threshold:
A Post-Illness Wellness and Anxiety Skills Group
Navigating life after a critical illness is often a journey of its own. While our acute medical crisis may have passed, the "emotional echo" can remain. This group is designed for individuals who have navigated a critical illness and are now seeking a supportive space to manage the anxiety, uncertainty, and physical and emotional changes that follow.
Unlike traditional trauma processing groups, our focus is not on the details of medical history. Instead, we gather to build a practical and compassionate toolkit for living fully in the present.
Sessions explore issues such as:
Holding Uncertainty: Developing strategies to manage medical anxiety and the fear of recurrence.
Befriending the Body: Cultivating a new relationship with a body that may feel changed or unsafe.
Existential Resilience: Exploring meaning and personal values after a life-altering event.
Community Connection: Breaking the isolation of the "patient" experience by connecting with others who "get it."
